Dirt Bike Trails

North Divide ATV & Motorcycle Trails

A very popular trailhead is located a little over four miles north of the town of Divide. The trailhead can be reached by going north from the traffic light located at the intersection at Hwy 24 West and Hwy 67 South. Driving north the road will split. Stay to the right (County Rd 5) and drive about four miles. The trailhead sign will be on the left just after CR5 turns into forest road #357. Park at the trailhead and you can ride #357 which is an OHV road or take trail #717 which begins miles of trails.
ATV and Dirt Bike Trails

Phantom Creek and Signal Butte ATV, Dirt Bike Trails

The Phantom Creek (#363) and Signal Butte (#362) trails offer you a convenient ATV or Dirt Bike loop that wanders through the Pikes Peak National Forest with views of Pikes Peak to the east, Signal Butte to the west, and Devil's Head to the north. The northern portion of Signal Butte Road (#364) passes directly through the Hayman Burn Area. This can provide a unique, close-up look at the fires destruction and the areas remarkable recovery.

Springtime (around May 1st) brings beautiful wildflowers and the daily threat of afternoon lightning. Be prepared! ATV and dirt bike trails are located throughout this area. A popular trailhead leaves from the initial parking area located just off Cedar Mounntain Road (County Rd #51) and connects to other OHV trails in the area. The trails consist mainly of rutted and bumpy forest roads. Most are fairly wide except on the north end where switchbacks wind tightly downhill. These trails are suitable for ATVs, dirt bikes, and most all 4-wheel-drive SUVs.

Schubarth Road

Schubarth Road is a fun backcountry getaway close to Woodland Park. F.S. 311 ends at overlook of front range. First part of road crosses private land including a U.S. Air Force installation. Warning signs apply to land on each side of road, not the road itself. Travel only on marked Forest Service roads. Keep moving until you cross Pike National Forest boundary at 2.4 miles. Trail not recommended for oversize vehicles. ATVs on forest roads only. Narrow and washed out in places with tight brush and tree branches in the way as you near the end of 307 and 311. Suitable for smaller stock, high clearance 4x4s. Possible paint scratches.

This is an ideal early morning or late afternoon ride to view herds of elk as they cross between national forest and private property during the fall rut!
